OUR MISSION: To promote and sustain a vibrant artistic fabric in the localities of The Pierians, Incorporated by raising funds to support community based artistic projects, art education and appreciation programs, and emerging artists in the performing, visual and literary arts.


The Pierians Foundation, Incorporated was founded in 2007 to address the need and provide under-served and marginalized populations access to the Arts - through art education, awareness, and participation. The Pierians Foundation provides funding to support artistic and educational projects at the secondary education level, and supports the development of exceptionally talented, young, aspiring artists.

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Pierians, Incorporated. Since 2014, the Foundation has supported artists and community-based artistic programs of the Pierian Incorporated's twelve Chapters, located in six states: Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia, South Carolina and the District of Columbia. This partnership, of the Foundation, Inc. with the Pierians, Inc., has invested over $30,000 in arts projects in our communities.

The Foundation operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended.
