About Us


The Pierians Foundation, Incorporated was founded in 2007 by the members of the Pierians, Incorporated, a national Arts organization of professional women, to promote quality performing, visual, and literary arts programs and art education projects. We seek to promote the delivery of artistic and art education programs in communities throughout the United States by raising funds to support community based artistic programs, art appreciation and education programs, and emerging artists. The Foundation operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended.

Our Mission


To promote and sustain a vibrant artistic fabric in the localities of The Pierians, Incorporated by raising funds to support community based artistic projects, art education and appreciation programs, and emerging artists in the performing, visual and literary arts.


Our Goals


  • Provide philanthropic resources for the promotion and delivery of artistic and art education programs
  • Strengthen and expand the cultural, artistic, and educational initiatives of The Pierians, Incorporated nationwide
  • Create opportunities for the expression of the Arts by supporting the career aspirations of emerging artists
  • Provide support for art education programs that cultivate the minds of our youth
  • Partner with Arts institutions, public agencies, and business communities to promote audience appreciation and participation in the Arts


The Foundation embraces increasing the accessibility of the Arts for all, cultivating a demand for the arts across a broad spectrum of the community’s populations, and perpetuating the development of talented artists and quality art works in our communities.
